What does a successful non-profit organization need in order to adapt to its growing volume of volunteers and partners?
A brand identity that is easily recognizable, professional, and welcoming to newcomers.
CCI is an organization that provides disaster relief, environmental, and human service projects for volunteer teams around the world. They have been working for over 20 years to build relationships with community partners, universities, and volunteer teams to complete major environmental, disaster relief, and human aid initiatives. As their organization continues to grow, they need a brand that will grow with them.
I took the organization's existing logo and did a complete overhaul of the brand identity from logo design to color, typography, and mascot design. This was done in order to better represent the values of the CCI and create a new identity that brings them up to date with other similar, modern organizations.
Logo Development
The organization's original logo felt out of date, difficult to remember, and was not sizeable. I developed a versatile logo that fit the client's needs: create a logo that is unique, professional, and maintains the friendly, community-centered nature of CCI. Include both the org name and its acronym in the logo, as volunteers and partners know them by both names.
The client also requested to rework the color palette, focusing on natural blues, greens, and yellows.
