Rebranding - I've Been Framed

I've Been Framed is a small used and new art supply store located in Southeast Portland, Oregon. I did a complete rebranding including brand identity design, environment, marketing materials, print, and digital media. Lastly, I gave the company a name update since they no longer just do framing: Rarity Art Center. This was done in order to better represent the values of the company and create a more positive, engaging user experience.

Color and Typography

The color palette for Rarity Art Center is meant to feel fresh, with a wave of nostalgia and retro style. This design aesthetic is quite popular in Portland and expresses the rich character of the business and its offerings.

Mint promotes creativity and adds a crisp, clean edge to the palette. More daring than a medium green yet still easy on the eyes, and less garish than a neon.

Wash represents trust and reliability in the Rarity Art Center brand. While the rest of the palette is warm and light, wash brings coolness and depth, reminiscent of the deep blue night and rain-filled days of Portland, Oregon.

Butter is a calming neutral tone. A creamy, mellow-yellow hue that symbolizes warmth, welcoming, and neutrality. This color brings a sense of balance to the otherwise bold and saturated palette.

Juice creates a punch of energy and positivity. Like red, it represents passion and stimulation, though orange is less obtrusive. It expresses Rarity Art Center's ability to inspire and ignite the artist's imagination.

Lust Dispay is an elegant, modern serif typeface. With its razor-sharp serifs, strong contrasts, and decorative strokes, it is perfect for logotype and display or headings.

Neuzeit Grotesk Light is a clean, geometric sans-serif typeface. It is legible at any size and will be used as body text throughout the project.

Lastly, I've used an extra-bold, condensed member of the Neuzeit Grotesk family. Black Condensed will be used for subheadings and page numbers or other accent text.
